Admin Tools version: (unknown)

Description of my issue:

We have installed JEvents on the site and according to their troubleshooting guide, the error we are getting is due to conflict with Akeeba.

These are two options out of three that involve changes to Akeeba related matters ( we have ruled out the third option after checking)

  1. Akeeba AdminTools - in which case make an exception in the AdminTools settings to allow the script http://www.yoursite.com/components/com_jevents/libraries/checkconflict.php to run.
  2. Htaccess - you may have a deny setting for php scripts outside the index.php file.  In which case please add an exception for this script.

I tried to find some infor on how to allow that script, but could not find anything that i could use practically. There does not seem to be any areas in my admin tool panel that in any way talks about script exclusion. Also, i don't really know syntax for .htaccess editing, so that does not help.

Thanks in advance !!!

Hello Giedre,

Pelase start by reading this documentation page: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/admin-tools/server-protection.html#determine-required-exceptions

You don't need to know how to edit .htaccess files. That's why Admin Tools has the .htaccess Maker. You just need to add

components/com_jevents/libraries/checkconflict.php

to "Allow direct access to these files" and regenerate your .htaccess file. Exactly as per the documentation.
