Description of my issue:

Hi Nicholas,

I noticed something strange the last few days and wanted to ask your opinion about this. A few days ago one of my customers received an RFI warning. The end of the url causing this warning looked like this :

/activity_list.php?past=1&page=0

No further warnings were issued, but a few days later I noticed on their site that the Qlue404 (custom 404 pages, broken links warning) component sent a message stating that the following url has been entered more than 20 times (broken link warning) :

http://www.vrijzinnigwestvlaanderen.be/vrijzinnigheid-bij-jou-in-de-buurt/vrijzinnige-ontmoetingscentra/vc-desleutelbrug/wie-zijn-weact/activity_list.php?past=1&page=0

The referrer for this link is :

http://www.google.be/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=receptie%20sleutelbrug&source=web&cd=3&sqi=2&ved=0CDgQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vrijzinnigbrugge.be%2Fact%2Factivity_list.php%3Fpast%3D1%26page%3D0&ei=z-zvULC9OofA0QW1hIH4Dg&usg=AFQjCNHArih-V1iaPULD6b0_diDGNhWIfQ

Could this be an attempt to go around the Admin Tools security system? And if so, should my customer be worried that the site could get infected and is there a solution?

Chris K.

No, you don't have to be worried. As far as I can tell this is a blind hacking attempt against an old version of a vulnerable WordPress plugin. Just because someone tries something stupid that can't possibly work against your site doesn't mean they are succeeding in doing anything at all.
