Dear Nicholas,

hope this message finds you well. I am not sure if this is a bug or not. However on the lastest Admin Tools and latest J2.5.8

the option SEO Tools (Convert all links to HTTPS when site is accessed over SSL)

works!And I love it.

But I found, that it also converted on my site all EXTERNAL links to EXTERNAL domains. Needless to say, if they do not have a certificate it creates an error.

Not sure if this is my site only, however I thought I let you know,

thank you,

Matthias

Actually, it's not a bug, it's how it's supposed to work: it converts all instances of http:// to https:// in the page's source. If you only want to have HTTPS links inside your own site you should go to Joomla!'s Global Configuration and set the Force SSL option to Entire Site, then disable Admin Tools' feature.

Dear Nicholas,

thanks a million for your reply. I just learned something. The reason I did not use the Joomla internal function is, that in the description it says it "will ONLY allow access to specific areas" via https. It sounded to me not that it would convert http to https but NOT allow http and force anyone to use https.

I might be wrong and did not want to test it on the live system :)

Thank you for everything and the great component! I love it!

I know, the description of Joomla's parameter is a little misleading :) I'm glad it's all working now and thank you very much for your kind words!
