Joomla! version: (2.5.8)
PHP version: (5.2.17)
MySQL version: (5.5.27)
Host: (visual-fusion and hostgator)
Admin Tools version: (2.4.3)
Description of my issue:
I have 4 Joomla websites hosted at visual-fusion.com and 1 Joomla website hosted at hostgator.com
All in same conditions: Joomla 2.5 and Admin Tools.
At Hostgator I can use the Administrator secret URL parameter. At visual-fusion no.
When I receive emails from Admin Tools with updates I click the link and update the websites.
Recently, (one or two weeks), I cannot login to this websites at visual-fusion.com. At hostgator, no problems.
While logged-in through the Admin Tools updater email link, I saw that the administrator username and name was changed to admin and Super User respectively. I tried to login with that username and my password but didn't work.
With PHPMyAdmin, I changed the password and now I can login again.
So I think that, for some reason, during an update, Admin Tools has changed my Joomla admin username, name and, as it seams, its password.
Can you tell me why this could happen? Probably related with the Administrator secret URL parameter feature?
At least, I hope that this could not have been done by an hacker.
Best Regards,
Carlos
