Hi,

I do not have any problem with your extension, but you have incorrect information in update server
http://cdn.akeebabackup.com/updates/atcore.xml

You can not use: <client>site</client>
It should be <client>0</client>

Now upadte is being found in Joomla 2.5.8 and stored in database but it is not being shown in Update manger because it do not meet any installed extension. I had the same problem with my extensions and it helped due to Joomla Docs about update servers.

PS. I have attended to Joomla! Day Poland 2012 with Admin Tools Pro presentation of Nicolas - it was great and now I am happy user of Pro version.

This update server is still available in Admin Tools Core 2.4.3 which I have just downloaded.

I have found it when I have updated to Pro version and old update server for Admin Tools Core still remains in database because I did not unsintall Core version before upgrading and Joomla does not have ability to remove update server during XML installation.

After installing version 2.4.3 update server was removed. I have checked wrong data base. So it works correct.

But in XML file of ZIP package with version 2.4.3 you have still

<updateservers>
<server type="extension" priority="1" name="Admin Tools Core Updates"><![CDATA[http://cdn.akeebabackup.com/updates/atcore.xml]]></server>
</updateservers>

And people with older version of admin tools will not see updates in Update manger even if they have still update server.
