Admin Tools version: (unknown) 2.4.2

Description of my issue:

Since I installed v2.4.2, the PHP File Scanner returns "No Report" every time I attempt it. This is not usual; I only run the file scanner after I've added or updated software on a Website. Screenshots indicate the issue:

Hello Don,

You're missing a setting which should be there :s The File types to be scanned should read:

php
phps
php3
inc

If it's empty no files will be scanned.

Regarding the options, yes there are options in two different places. There is a reason for that: the old options, inside the component configuration, can't be transparently migrated into the new options page (at least not yet) and the options in the new options page couldn't be included in the component configuration page. Yep, confusing. I will find a solution, just not yet. The day only has 24 hours and I'm currently working during an alarmingly large chunk of those hours.

Nicholas,

When I opened the Configuration, the elements you identified above appeared. So, I ran the scan. But, the scan returned no report.

Then, when I entered the same elements, clicked Save, and ran the scan, the scan ran.

And ran...and ran...and ran...until the entire system crashed and this error message appeared in Firefox:

Database connection error (2): Could not connect to MySQL.

sigh

Thanks! Don't know what's going on, but thanks for trying.

Cheers,

Don

Don,

If you look inside your site's tmp directory you'll see a file called akeeba.backend.log. If you ZIP and attach it in a new ticket I will know exactly what Admin Tools PHP File Scanner was doing when the crash happened.
