Host: (rochen)
Admin Tools version: (2.5.7)

Description of my issue:

First of all i'm learning how to use the admin tools.. so far going great. (made up a new .htaccess file - very slick)

But I can see that I can have a firewall installed - so i just did a simple test on my site and added a Administrator secret URL parameter = MOO (this is a example have a different phrase)

But it won't work? not sure why.. i have the plugin turned on and set to First.. but all the rest of your plugins are 0 as well..

Very odd now it works didn't do a thing.

HMMM

Just a question on the FIREWALL does everything in the firewall if it is ON it on.. there is not other setting else where to make the Firewall work...

Are there any test we can do ie for a string just to see if things are working.. almost like a bad credit card it will say nope sorry not valid.. something like that to see if the firewall is actually working correctly..

You have put your IP in the Administrator IP White List or any of the allowed IP ranges in the Web Application Firewall configuration page. All protection is turned off for those IPs. Try accessing your site from a different IP, e.g. through your smartphone (have it connected via 3G/4G, not through the same WiFi network your computer is on).

There is no such thing as "The Firewall" per se. The firewall actually consists of many small features which can be configured collectively under the Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall page. These features are executed by the "System - Admin Tools" plugin. You can disable "the firewall" in two ways:
1. disable all features in the Configure WAF page
2. disable the plugin

Conversly, as long as there is at least one enabled option in the Configure WAF page and the plugin is enabled then, yes, the firewall is always on.
