Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? too many to read and the search funtion does only work on the global site :-(

Joomla! version: 1.5.26
PHP version: 5.3.3-7+squeeze8
MySQL version: 5.1.49-3
Admin Tools version: 2.4.0

Description of my issue:
installation not possible - error-mesage:
JInstaller::install: the file „/var/www/xxxxxxx/html/xxxxxx/tmp/install_50xxxxxxxxx5/backend/frontend/admintools.php“ does not exist!

please solve this problem
shall I install admin-tools manually using ftp?

Admin Tools 2.4.0, as stated on the download page, is only compatible with Joomla! 2.5 and 3.0. In order to determine which version of our software you have to install on older versions of PHP and Joomla! please consult our Compatibility page.

Also note that these instructions are provided in the My Subscriptions page, towards the bottom left where the "My Downloads" box is located.

i can´t migrate to 2.5 because i am using necessary plugins that only work on 1.5.
But on the compatibility-page I found that v2.2.10 is working as long as my provider does not update the php on the server.
The installation worked fine. Thanks for your quick reply
