Description of my issue:

I installed Akeeba Subscriptions on a site built on Joomla 2.5.7 running on Joomlahosting.it. After the installation I got the message that the installation was successful. I've set up a group I called "Subscribers" and three levels of abbonementi I called "Monthly", "Quarterly", "Yearly". I tried to create a user who is not me and finally cretao an article for subscribers only I could not have any results. I also created a shortcut menu to "All plans (Best Layout)." but without result. Plugin 'Akeeba Subscriptions - Joomla! Usergroups Integration 'on. Does not work. What can I do? Thank you. Sincerely, Ignatius Mazzoli

Have you followed all of the steps in the quick start section of our documentation? You will have to create Joomla! user groups, Joomla! viewing access levels, assign the articles to the viewing access levels, create the subscription levels, configure the Akeeba Subscriptions - Joomla! Usergroups Integration to link Subscription Levels to Joomla! User Groups and then perform your test. I am sure that you have not configured the plugin.

Furthermore, please note that your menu item and all Akeeba Subscriptions plugins must be assigned to the Public viewing access level, otherwise they will not work. If you think about it, it makes sense. You want Akeeba Subscriptions to be able to work before your user subscribes so that you can, er, subscribe him :)

Thanks Nicholas for the timely response. Unfortunately I do not see the command to assign the items to display levels of access. There is neither the editor in akeebasubs. The plugin Akeeba Subscriptions - Joomla! Usergroups Integration of Public Access is configured with the following groups: Monthly =Subscription , Quarterly= Subscriptions; Annual= Subscriptions. Add the Chart sales and sales plan for the panel appeared suddenly without an explainable cause. The Custom field in the basics sometimes appears sometimes not. Maybe there is some conflict with what could be? I do not really know how to verify this. I'd use Akeebasubs and I would not give it up. Thanks for the tips that you give me

Sorry for being insistent, but have you actually read the documentation? Under the "How to make it all work together to make money from your site" header you will find detailed instructions. Also note that I cannot provide support for using Joomla! ACLs beyond that basic tutorial. It's all better said and done in Jen Kramer's articles in the Joomla! Community Magazine (strongly recommended reading).

From that point it all comes down to configuring the plugin. Supposing that your User Group is called "Subscriptions" and you want to assign all subscription levels to this one particular user group you will need to use the following in the two textboxes of the plugin:
Monthly=Subscriptions
Quarterly=Subscriptions
Annual=Subscriptions

Please note the changes to what you typed. Each subscription level/user group pair is on its own line, NOT separated by commas, semicolons or anything else. The subscription level is separated from the user group with an equals sign, not a space. The user group in all cases is Subscriptions (not Subscription, without an s, as you had in the first item). This assumes that the subscription levels are titled Monthly, Quarterly and Annual respectively.

From that point you have to create a new subscription. Changing the options in the plugin will not change the user group assignment for existing subscribers. If you want to do that you have to use the "Run Integrations" button in the Subscriptions page of Akeeba Subscriptions.

In order for the subscribers to be assigned to user groups the subscription must be enabled. If you are testing, please use the "None" payment plugin which activates a subscription without an actual payment.

After subscribing you need to log out and back in for Joomla! to "see" the changes in the user group assignment for the subscriber.

Add the Chart sales and sales plan for the panel appeared suddenly without an explainable cause.

I don't understand what you are saying? When you first install the component there are no sales and these areas remain blank. When you get new subscriptions these panels get populated.

The Custom field in the basics sometimes appears sometimes not.

This sounds like faulty caching. While testing your site please disable caching in Global Configuration and unpublish the "System - Cache" Joomla! plugin. Otherwise you'll have to clear your cache every time you make the slightest modification to your site.

Dear Nicholas I did what she told me. I read and reread the instructions and some progress is made. However, the fact remains that I do not know how to point the subscriber to confidential material that I have called Content reserved. The configuarzione Joomla! ACL seems correct, but I still can not get the desired result. I still hope in his suggestion. thanks

Let me put this question in a different way. If you manually assign a user to the subscribers user group, then log out and log in as that user, can you access the protected content? If not or if the protected content is visible to anyone with this manual test your problem is with Joomla! ACL and I can't help you with that.

If you can do the manual test, try logging out and back in after subscribing. Can that subscriber now see the protected content? If yes, there is no problem, it's just how Joomla! works (you need to log out and back in before it "sees" the changes in the user to group assignment).

If the manual test succeeds but the subscriber cannot access the protected content then I can help you set up Akeeba Subscriptions' plugin.

But, right now, all I know is that something "doesn't work". I have no idea what that means. I don't know if your ACL setup is correct, if your plugin setup is correct... I can't help if I am not given adequate information to understand what the problem is.

Thank you. I need to do additional testing. Then answer with more precision. In any case, the protected content is not visible. A None. The utenjte registered login does law correctly and that it has a subscription. Then how does he go to protected content? This is my problem.

Looks like Google Translate screwed up your message :) If I understand this correctly, you have hidden the protected content from everyone. You can't show it to anybody, not even with the manual method. I'd suggest taking a look at your Viewing Access Levels. Follow Jen's articles very slowly. ACL has never been an easy subject. It takes patience and quite a few tries the first time you try using it.

I will try again as you say. See you soon

Dear Nicholas thanks. I think I came to a full stop. Now I know that I have to check subscribers and registered to display after logging the confidential contents. Again thank you for your cooperation and reread in the future. Very cordially, Ignatius Mazzoli
