Description of my issue:

I am using RokGallery to display images in my site. The way RokGallery works is the following
1. Create Gallery, specify tag
2. Upload images and asign the above tag
3. Create rokgallery module and link it to the created gallery.
4. The module displays clickable thumbnails which link to the full image

The images are stored by default in folders within ....media/rokgallery

Before i installed admin tools i created a few galleries which work perfectly.
After installing and setting up admin tools the OLD galleries still work perfectly. Every time i create a new gallery however i have a problem in the front end.

Problem description:
The thumbnail images appear properly, however when i click on the thumbnails i am getting a "Image not Found" error instead of the full image.

If i right click on the thumbnail and open in new window then i get a 403 Forbidden error, You don't have permission to access....

As said before, this is ONLY for new galleries. The above method works for old galleries/images that i made before installing Admin Tools.

Setting the Front-end protection in Admin Tools to No fixes the problem so something must be wrong here.

The "media" folder is also included in the "Front-end directories where file type exceptions are allowed" setting.

Now, if i add the image link to the exceptions list then the problem goes away. However this is a lot more time consuming as i have to add every file seperately...

The following Gallery was created before installing Admin Tools and is working properly

Please follow our .htaccess troubleshooting step-by-step instructions. It will allow you to find the exact exception you have to add to .htaccess Maker.

Dear Nicholas,

Thank you. I found that file media/system/js/mootools-more.js had to be added to the exceptions list. This however didnt solve the problem.

Adding the media/system/js folder to the Allow direct access, including .php files, to these directories field also had no effect but using the whole media folder (so without /system/js) seems to have worked

You do not need to add Javascript files to the exceptions list; they are always exempt from blocking as per the allowed file extensions list.

Now, since you had to exclude the entire media folder I guess that your real problem is that your files have an extensions of JPG instead of jpg which causes them to get blocked. You could simply add the uppercase JPG extension in the allowed file extensions list for the front-end in .htaccess Maker.
