Description of my issue:

Hi Support,

First, I know my Joomla and AdminTools version is old, but I will update to 2.5 and 2.3.1 later.

I have a phpbb forum in Joomla (in the same folder with Joomla and use JFusion to bind each other). There weeks I find there are lot of attacks come to my site, when they go to Joomla, AdminTools did good job and banned their IP.

But there are still lots of attacks to PHPBB, I can see them in apache access log and error log.

Can AdminTools have this kind of function to help protect PHPBB?

Cheers,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

Unfortunately not, that's not possible. Admin Tools hooks on specific Joomla! events and uses the Joomla! API extensively. phpBB does not have equivalent events. In fact, it does not have events, period. We'd have to edit its core files. Also, it doesn't allow for the kind of request manipulation that Admin Tools requires in order to work.
