Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.6
PHP version: 5.2.17
MySQL version: 5.0.51a-community
Host: localhost
Admin Tools version: 2.3.1
Akeeba Backup version: 3.6.1
Description of my issue:
After building a site on a test-url, I made a back-up of it and put it on the real live url.
Unpacking the zip file, set the right to the propper folders and run akeeba-back-up.
Everything goes like normal but after deleting the installation folder, the front-end gives a blank screen and logging in on the back-end gives a very strange control-pannel.

I un-installed admin-tools and akeeba back-up on the test-url and installed an older version of akeeba back-up (3.5.2). Made a new back-up, Installed it on the live url and now it is working.

What could be the problem? I can'nt figure out if it is admin-tools or akeeba-back-up is causing the problem.

I hope you have an answer for me ;-)

If you are restoring to a different folder, subdomain or domain and you have been using Admin Tools' .htaccess Maker you have to:
- delete the .htaccess file from your restored site's root
- log in to your restored site's backend
- go to Admin Tools, .htaccess Maker and expand the System Configuration slider at the bottom of the page. Make sure the two host name fields and the base directory field correspond to your restored site.
- Now click on Save and create .htaccess

Thanks for this very quick reply in the first place!!

Right now I restored the site as I mentioned in my ticket but I will try to use your tips and do it again.
