Description of my issue:

Hi,

I try'd upgrading my akeeba backup and admin tools to the newest release and this is the first time i have seen this problem.

It fails half way of the restore point upgrade and says a 505 error. I have try'd the help wizard but still no luck.

Sorry and Thanks

An HTTP version 505 error message indicates a configuration issue with your server. I don't think I can help with that :(

Thanks for the quick response!

So what steps should I take to come around this?? Is this problem common?

Thanks

If it the error code does read 505 (and not 500) I'd suggest contacting your host. They should be able to tell you what is going on or at least give us some pointers on where to look. If, however, you get a 500 (not 505!) error message, please post back.

Hello I was reading other people with the same problem in the forum sectiion

and done exactly what you told them to do by downloading the dev version, disabling the system restore plugin.

It worked like a charm. So will a stable release of the akeeba backup will be released soon?

Regards

I released version 3.6.1 which fixes this issue about 5 hours before your last post :) You should now see the update and be able to install it.
