I assume, for Joomla 2.5 and the current versions of Admin Tools and sh404sef, that leaving sh404sef's security/anti-flood/project honey pot options enabled is either redundant or potentially hazardous.

Please advise the best-practices set up.

I have disabled sh404sef security functions, log attacks and check form posts.
I have also disabled the anti-flood functions.

Please let me know if you have any other recommendations.

Thanks Nick,

SCOT

You can have both turned on. The site might be a tad slower, as there will be some extra code running on each request.

There's only one catch: if you have a problem, you will have to turn off sh404SEF's security features off before being certain that the problem is coming from Admin Tools. If the problem goes away, you'll have to disable Admin Tools and enable sh404SEF's security features, debug the issue and then re-enable Admin Tools.

I can't imagine their tools are stronger than yours. :-)
It's fine to leave them off, and rely on Admin Tools. Right?

I haven't tested sh404SEF's security features, so I can't comment on them. Knowing Yannick I would say that they should be pretty good. I can also tell you that they're nowhere near as inclusive as what I have in Admin Tools Professional :)
