Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? YES
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: (unknown) 1.5.26
PHP version: (unknown) 5.1.6
MySQL version: (unknown) 5.0.95
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you) dedicated server
Admin Tools version: (unknown) 2.2.6 / 2.2.8

Description of my issue:

With "old" 2.2.4 version all was working right, I have made update to 2.2.6 as suggested by your componente but after this all the value in htaccess page and in WAF configuration are loosed when save.
Tryed to install again the 2.2.4 but still the configuration is loosed at any save.
Tryed to install the new 2.2.8 same result.

I have some website on same machine, other with 2.2.4 are working right, so I tryed with another domain to upgrade from 2.2.4 to 2.2.8 direclty and still same issue, configuration is loosed at any time I save (even in htaccess and WAF)

No error message.

Can you drive me on how to find what is going wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks and best regards, Michele

PHP 5.1 was never supported for use with Admin Tools. The minimum requirement is PHP 5.2.7. Sorry, I can not offer support for server environments which do not satisfy the minimum requirements of the component :(

While we are at it, PHP 5.1.6 was released about six years ago. In computer terms, that's an eternity. PHP 5.1.6 has dozens of security issues which can be used by hackers to compromise your server. Please ask your host to upgrade your PHP version. Besides, all major components require PHP 5.2 or even PHP 5.3.

Hi nicholas,
thank you for the fast replay.
Now I get it :) ... and obviously I not ask you to make it work with an old version of PHP if minimum requirement it's the 5.2.7

And I have found even why the "old" version was working ... on the website where this is working I not have the 2.2.4, I was wrong remembering the version installed, the one working is the OLD 2.1.14
I have uninstalled the 2.2.8 and put again the 2.1.14 and the configuration is not more loosed

Now I will try to have my server PHP updated :)

Thanks for the support, best regards, Michele

You're welcome, Michele! Maybe the very old version was unintentionally compatible with PHP 5.1.6. I can only assure you I have never tested Admin Tools with a PHP version less than 5.2.7 :D Yes, it's time to get that PHP version update :)
