Description of my issue:

I installed all the security stuff of admin tools + a htaccess security on the frontpage of one of my websites.
Webcron can't make a backup :-(.

I think it's out of your sight and software, but hope you can give me an answer :-).

If you try accessing the backup URL through a browser, do you get an error message? If you don't get an error, or you only get an error about too many redirections, it's most likely a .htaccess issue. If you're using our .htaccess Maker please make sure that the "Block access from specific user agents" is disabled. If it's not, disable it and click on "Save and Create .htaccess". If this doesn't help, please try running the CRON job in webcron.org manually and post back any errors it reports.

Hi Nicolas,

The problem is that I secured the front of my site with htaccess as well (not with Admin Tools, because Admin Tools can't secure the front end in my opninion).

In webcron you can enter user-id and password, but that didn't work!

PS
I know it's out of Admin Tools business :-), but maybe you will help me.

Obviously you didn't read the documentation and haven't implemented Admin Tools correctly. Read the sections on WAF and .htaccess Maker, then come back to discuss what you think is left out of Admin Tools (hint: nothing which doesn't slow down your site unbearably without offering significant protection).

In any case, your problem is related to the .htaccess you have implemented. You are responsible for maintaining it and debugging its issues. Unfortunately this is well outside the scope of the support services we can offer.
