Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? No
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.4
PHP version: 5.3.5
MySQL version: 5.1.54
Host: Media Temple
Admin Tools version: 2.2.5

I am having the same issue as a couple of other users (e.g. Ticket #12182 ).

I have been running admin tools pro for many months on one of our sites. For some reason, the Firewall keeps losing the settings. I noticed this a couple of days ago, and I restored them to the correct values. On this same site, the .htaccess rules as shown in ATP are reset to the original values, however, the actual .htaccess file is not changed.

Today when I went to look at the firewall, I noticed that the values were again reset to the original!

I needed to change the .htaccess file, but I was afraid to use ATP to do it, so I manually downloaded the file and updated it.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Actually the solution in ticket 12156 may work for me.

I have several sites running on the same server with ATP. One site had the WAF and .htaccess reset problems, but the other didn't. I noticed that the automation features of the ATP plugin were set to ON on the site with the issues and to OFF on the site that doesn't have the problem.

I think the automation options is really useful on our very heavily trafficked site, but I will turn them off temporarily to see if it resolves this issue.

Nick, you mention in ticket 12182 that you will be putting out a fix for this problem. Has it been released yet? If so, what version is it in?

This has been fixed in version 2.2.6. All you have to do is upgrade :)

Hi there, I've updated to 2.2.6 and turned the plugin automation options back on. I'll watch the site to make sure that the WAF isn't reset.

I noticed that the .htaccess maker still shows the default values, not the actual values that are in the file. Is there any way to fix this?

There was an apparent bug in Admin Tools 2.2.x up to and including 2.2.5. Under some circumstances you would lose all settings. This is what was happening on your site. Therefore you can't get your .htaccess Maker settings back unless you re-enter them manually.
