Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? No
Have I searched the tickets before posting? No
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: 2.5.4
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Admin Tools version: 2.2.6

Description of my issue:

Hi Nicholas,

I just (manual) updated to AT pro 2.2.6 and refreshed my ID (it was still the same by the way) in the options-box.
Still there's the huge bar in the Admin Console with text: "You need to specify your Download ID before you can receive updates for Admin Tools Professional. For more information please follow our instructions."
I refreshed the update-status with the button several times but it will not disappaer.
How can I get rid of this huge banner?

Also: metatag generator shows standaard Joomla text again!

Greetings, Paul

Please try downloading a fresh copy of the component and install it on your site, without uninstalling your existing copy.

Ok, I'll do that but have you also already fixed the metatag generator issue I mentioned in my topic? It's activated but shows the standard Joomla text again.

Greetings, Paul

*edit: fresh copy installed, hug bar is gone now but Metatag Generator isn't working yet. Hope you will solve that soon too.

Thanks for your ultrafast support. ;-)

The Metatag Generator is no longer handled by Admin Tools as of Joomla! 2.5.4. There is now a relevant Global Configuration option in Joomla! itself.

The Global Configuration only removers the version but still shows this:
<meta name="generator" content="Joomla! - Open Source Content Management" /> .

It's pity that you don't support this option anymore but why is it still available in the optionlist of the WAF?

I can't support that option because the way Joomla!'s own feature is implemented would mean that I'd have to hack Joomla! core files to achieve the same result as earlier versions of Admin Tools. Unfortunately this can't happen as this would make JED to delist all of my software, which would be an utter disaster for me.

Joomla! 2.5.5, scheduled for June 4th, will include an improved version of that feature which will make the Generator tag fully customisable. I see that Jean-Marie's patch with that feature is accepted since a few weeks ago.
