Joomla! version: 1.5.26
PHP version: 5.2.17
MySQL version: 5.0.95-community
Host: www.aras.com.au Linux coolibah.netports-server-23.com.au 2.6.18-238.19.1.el5PAE #1 SMP Fri Jul 15 08:15:44 EDT 2011 i686
Admin Tools version: 2.2.5

Description of my issue:
I have JoomlaCK editor installed (latest Beta 5 Version, and older version also tested and exhibited same results). When I use the Insert Hyperlink option, it allows to 'Browse Server' to select a file to choose. Only it does not show the list of files. I had reversed some .htaccess options and got the file list to show, but then when I tried to upload a file, I would get errors. Now I cannot get the file list to appear again.

Really annoyed that such a simple plugin is made useless because of the heavy handed admin tools settings. I have searched google and have found other people with the same issues, but no-one seems to able to work out what settings are affecting the usefulness of JoomlaCK.

I just want to know what I have to enable or disable in order to get this working. PLEASE!!

Hm, calling JoomlaCK "a simple plugin" is the understatement of the millenium :) It's not just an incredibly complex Javascript and PHP application, it's written in a way that makes it not quite secure. In any case, all you actually have to do is follow our troubleshooting instructions for .htaccess Maker-related issues. If you can't get it to work, post back so that we can arrange for you to give me necessary login info to your site so that I can take a look myself.

Regarding your comments, Admin Tools is designed to harden your site very, very good. Our intention is to make your site very difficult for hackers to penetrate. For that to happen we have to follow the "nothing runs on my site unless I tell it to" dogma. The upside? It makes your site very secure. The downside? It requires time in the beginning to configure it. Is this approach heavy handed? Perhaps. Let's put it this way. Would you rather the bank vault's door to be 5 feet of solid steel with an insanely complex combination lock or a drape hanging over the opening? It's the same thing for your site. I can't say that one approach is better than the other, but I certainly prefer the 5 feet of solid steel one much better :)
