Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? No
Have I searched the tickets before posting? No
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: 1.5.26
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Admin Tools version: 2.2.5

Description of my issue: As warned and expected I applied the .htaccess Maker but HwdVideoShare and HwdPhotoShare front page CSS was broken. I followed the instruction about using Google Chrome to get the file that has been locked out.

My file reads: http://www.adict.me/cache/hwdvsdefault/hwdvs_com_hwdvideoshare_frontpage__0_5.css 403 (Forbidden)

Even when I include this file in the Server Protection "Allow direct access to these files" Nothing happens. Note that mine is not a 404 error its a 403 error. Let me know how to solve this one...

Hello Vincent,

The documentation does talk about 403 errors (Forbidden), not 404 errors (Not found). Your error is a 403. You have to go to the .htaccess Maker page and add
cache/hwdvsdefault/hwdvs_com_hwdvideoshare_frontpage__0_5.css
to the "Allow direct access to these files", then click on Save and Create .htaccess.

I think that you entered the full URL (http://www.adict.me/cache/hwdvsdefault/hwdvs_com_hwdvideoshare_frontpage__0_5.css) in the box. In the instructions I try to make it clear that you need to remove the domain name (http://www.adict.me) and instead use only the relative path to the file, but I understand that it's easy to miss that part - or the part that you have to click on the "Save and Create .htaccess" to regenerate the file :)
