Description of my issue:
Hello, we just installed Admin Tools Pro, and may have misconfigured something. Our site has always redirected public traffic to http and admin to https. After install, Firefox seemed to work correctly, although I noticed that it was redirecting all traffic to https. Chrome was attempting to redirect, but misformed the redirection url, which ended up something like http://sitename.com/https://www.sitename.com. Meanwhile, Safari and IE just gave up and displayed "cannot display the site" messages.

I dug into the config file and noted that live_site URL was now set to https://www.sitename.com, so I changed it back to http://www.sitename.com. I also set the force_ssl to 0. Chrome and Safari seem to be back in line, but IE9 still cannot display (and does not redirect).

There are a lot of variables to this tool, so I assume I misconfigured something. However, some help pointing me in the right direction would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

If you've used the .htaccess Maker to generate a .htaccess for your site, go to Admin Tools, .htaccess Maker and make sure that the "Force HTTPS for these URLs (do not include the domain name)" is blank. Then go to Admin Tools, SEO and Link Tools and set "Convert all links to HTTPS when site is accessed over SSL" to No.

Finally, please edit your configuration.php file and set $live_site to an empty string, i.e. $live_site = ''. You should never fill in anything in there, unless you have a broken server and no link on your site works without it.
