Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: 1.6.4
PHP version: 5.3.6
MySQL version: 5.1.62-cll
Host: HostGator
Admin Tools version: 2.2.5

Description of my issue:

I noticed that a Joomla 1.6.4 site had not been updated to 2.5.4 so I wanted to install Akeeba Admin Tools Pro then Akeeba Back-up Pro as a 1st step before upgrading. The Admin Tools 2.2.5 installation failed and now when I click on any icon or menu item in the admin control panel I get the a message similar to the following:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JDatabaseMySQL::nq() in /home/recyorg/public_html/plugins/system/admintools/admintools/pro.php on line 2703

I can't access the previously installed older version of Akeeba Back-up to restore a working copy of the site due to this error.

I am supposed to host a webinar to present this site tonight. If this issue can not be resolved quickly please let me know so I can reschedule the webinar.

Thanks in advance for anything you can do to help.

I solved this problem by uninstalling Admin Tools manually through cpanel file maanger and then upgrading incrementally. The site is now up and running the latest versions of Joomla, Akeeba Back-up Pro and Admin Tools Pro.

For the record and the benefit of future searches, Admin Tools 2.2.0 through 2.2.5 is compatible only with Joomla! 1.5 and 2.5. Installing it on Joomla! 1.6 and 1.7 will cause problems. The compatibility and the workaround for accidental upgrades can be found in our release announcements.
