Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: (2.5.4)
PHP version: (5.2.17)
MySQL version: (5.1.56)
Host: (HostGator)
Admin Tools version: (2.2.5)

Description of my issue:
Thumbnails not displaying for JoomlaWorks Simple Image Gallery Pro extension.

Both of the following solutions work. Can you tell me which one is the most secure?

1. Front-end directories where file type exceptions are allowed - added directory "cache"

2. Allow direct access, except .php files, to these directories - added directory cache/jw_sigpro

Thank you!

The second one.

The idea is that the narrower the exception is, the less likely is to cause any security issues.
