Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting? Yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.4 (latest)
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Admin Tools version: 2.2.2

Description of my issue:

I just went to upgrade my Admin Tools (PAID version) and it displays a red notice "You have to supply your username/password or Download ID to the component's parameters before trying to upgrade to the latest release. The upgrade button will remain disabled until you do that." I looked it up in this forum and found a post (here) but the link that the poster was directed to (which worked for them) is now empty (here).

I've been using Akeeba for a long time and have never seen this notice before. I've looked all through the program but can't find the component's parameters. I also have Akeeba Backup so I looked through those parameters but wasn't really sure...

Can you please help?

That's strange, because that warning is there since August 2010. A slightly different version of that warning (mentioning only username and password) is there since January 2010. In short, this has always been the case with the Professional releases, the need a form of identification to install updates. Obviously, if you had been using the Core versions you would have never seen that message as the Core version doesn't require a form of identification to download updates.

In any case, you have to follow these instructions: https://www.akeebabackup.com/instructions/1436-admin-tools-download-id.html This is a subscribers-only link; you must be logged in to view its content.

Regarding the parameters, if you have Joomla! 1.5 it's the Parameters button on the toolbar. If you have have Joomla! 2.5, it's the Options button on the toolbar. The first thing you see when you click on that button is a field to supply your Download ID.

Oh, perfect! Thank you!

It's my own stupid fault. I was looking at the main Admin Tools icons and not up in the top right where the generic Joomla ones go. Glad you posted that link anyway so I could copy the code.

Weird that I've never been asked for it before?

Anyway, thanks sooo much for your super fast response. :)
