hello, my access to joomla administration is performed from a dynamic ip with no-ip.com update, can block any IP that is not mine?.
Is it possible to specify a DNS name instead of a fixed IP on the white list?

No, the whitelist only works with IP ranges, not DNS entries. There is a good reason for that. Each DNS query takes anywhere from 50-300msec, with a good average being 130msec. Imagine a list of 10 DNS entries in a whitelist. Resolving them would add 1.3 seconds to each and every page's load time. That would be disastrous for your site's performance. Hence the complete lack of support for DNS entries in the white/black lists.
