Description of my issue:

After fresh Joomla install and akeeba admins pro 2.2.4 and inserting subscribtion Download ID, Joomla Admin backend side (after and during admin login) slowed down EXTREMAlLY. Its take minimum +40 second to login or move between components menu in Joomla Admin backend.

Ever after loading backend is complete Yslow firefox extension stops at /media/com_admintools/css/backend.css?2.2.4.

This is a bug which happens only on new installations. I've just (2 minutes ago) found out what is causing it. Unfortunately, I'll have to publish a new release to solve it as it's not something you can turn off :(

I forgot to clarify something, it's not the CSS file that is causing the problem, it is the the way the integration with the Joomla! extensions updater behaves in new installations.

Thank you for quick answer Nicholas.

Happy to heard that you already know about the problem. I will patiently waiting for new release. I'm using VPS managed server which is configured by Admin and everything was working fine till today. If you will need something i will contact you both.

Take care :)

One more thing. Yesterday I was building website /separate installation on the same server/ with admin tools pro 2.2.3 and joomla 2.5.3. Than I'm upgraded admin tools pro 2.2.3 to 2.2.4 (automatic upgrade via Admin tools menu) version and upgraded Joomla to 2.5.4 version and everything was working fine.

As I said, only new installations (actually, installations without a Download ID entered when the admin tools control panel was first displayed) will experience the problem. Upgraded versions should not be affected.

Yeah, these last two releases were actually rushed. I had to release before the testing was complete in order to fix the inability to change the Generator meta tag introduced by JoomlA! 2.5.4. The new version had a bug in the super administrator ID change feature (which I fixed) and I also had to find a workaround against the intermittent issue with the Joomla! extensions updater killing a site when trying to upgrade Admin Tools Professional without a Download ID present. Unfortunately, the latter fix caused the performance issue which became apparent only after the release was out. *sigh* I think I should stop trying to fix issues caused by new Joomla! releases. every time I've done that, it's the same story. New Joomla! release, new bug, new cycle of 2-3 releases from out team.

I'm not really experienced webmaster but I'm faithful supporter of Joomla from Mambo time. I appreciate all the work of Joomla volunteers but I think that before they release new version/update/ for public they should give more time to test it and approve it especially by members and developers of key Joomla Extensions (like Akeeba Backup and particularly Nicholas). But that's just my humble opinion.

That would be a very good idea but, unfortunately, it currently belongs to the sphere of science fiction. We are mostly called outrageous and other different things when we complain against upcoming changes.
