Mandatory information about my setup:

Description of my issue:
I hope the Joomla! Day France 2012 is going well for you.

I'm using Virtuemart 2.0.2 with Joomla! 2.5 with checkout to PayPal. I cannot find any Spam filter software that will support all three, other than possibly CSRF/Anti-spam form protection (CSRFShield). So if I configure the Administrator IP Whitelist to accept the PayPal IP, will CSRF/Anti-spam form protection (CSRFShield) protect all Virtuemart 2.0.2 forms and Joomla! 2.5 forms?

Even though using the CSRFShield will protect all forms generated inside your Joomla! website, it will not prevent spam submissions in all cases. I'd recommend also enabling the ReCAPTCHA plugin in Joomla! 2.5 so that user registration is even better protected against spam abuse.

Thanks for your advice.

The ReCAPTCHA plugin for Joomla! 2.5 doesn't support Virtuemart 2 at the moment. Joo ReCaptcha PRO supports most Virtuemart 2 forms, but not all of them. I can't find any custom way to add the ReCaptcha in Virtuemart 2, whereas Virtuemart 1 made it very easy. But I don't except you to answer that!

I hate to ask, but PayPal's instructions are difficult to understand. Would you know where/how I can retrive the PayPal IPN? So I can configure the Admin Tools Pro Administrator IP Whitelist to accept the PayPal IPN, hence use CSRF/Anti-spam form protection (CSRFShield) with Joomla! 2.5 and Virtuemart 2.

Normally it's your payments system (e.g. VirtueMart, Akeeba Subscriptions, etc) which defines which URL PayPal will contact back your site with the IPN. You don't specify it manually. Furthermore, the CSRF filter is most likely not involved with the IPN. In any case, you can add the IP addresses for PayPal's IPN servers into either the Administrator IP Whitelist or the "Never block these IPs" fields in Admin Tools' Configure WAF page. The IPs, as documented by PayPal, are at the time of this writing:
