#11394 Admin Professional Tools – Geographic Blocking NOT WORKING

Hi,
I bought this adm Professional mainly for the country block. It doesn't work for me in my joomla 1.5 site hosted with godaddy. The problem found where the blocked countries been unchecked ( Unblocked) after two or three days automatically.
I do n't know how it is been unblocked automatically.... Any connection with server updation? or my site configuration???

OK, let's try answering to you again. Before I can answer properly, I need you to give me all the mandatory information requested when filing a ticket, most importantly:
Exact Joomla! version
Exact PHP version
Exact Admin Tools version
Without this information, I have no idea which version of the software you're using (therefore it might be a bug I have fixed) on which version of Joomla! (do I support it?) and on which PHP version (is it a buggy PHP version?)

That said, losing your settings is certainly not expected. It would imply that either someone is modifying your configuration or, somehow, your database contents are being reset every two days. Do you have any solution which might be automatically resetting your site's settings / restoring a backup on a schedule?

Hi.. Here is the details
Joomla 1.5.25
Php version 5.2
Adm Tool 2.2.0
Hosting: godaddy 4GS UNLIMITED.

Another issue I found that ' Administrator secret URL parameter ' also does't work same time when country block bug finds. ie, any one can access my orginal joomla back end url after *two days (*I am not sure exact days after the adm pro tools been disabled automatically, bcoz I usually login to my back end after two or three days)

I have set up no automatic resetting or restoring except cache cleaning with adm system pugin.

Hope you will solve this problem.

The thing is, this is not a bug with Admin Tools. There are a few thousands of other folks using this software, you are the only one who reports that his settings are reset every two days. There is no code to reset the settings in Admin Tools Professional. Therefore, it's something external to Admin Tools. Most likely, as I already mentioned, there is something on your hosting setup which RESETS the database or at least the #__admintools_storage table every two days. I have not put anything like that in my code, therefore there is nothing for me to fix! Besides, if it were a bug, how come that you are the only one experiencing this problem? You are certainly not our only client hosted on GoDaddy (we have a few hundreds of them).

I strongly suggest speaking with your host. The first level of GoDaddy support is usually comprised of script-reading folks who don't know much about server setup. If they can't help you, ask them to escalate the issue. Level 2 techs are people who do understand server setup and could help you determine if there is a CRON job doing that on your site. Unless, of course, you have installed a Joomla! plugin which does that, in which case the only one who can help you is you, I am afraid.
