Description of my issue:

Hello -

I have a site that is currently offline and I'm continually getting csf excessive resource alerts that look like they are connection attempts for the core updates:

Network connections by the process (if any):
tcp: x.x.x.x:56616 -> 206.123.111.164:80

That ip isn't blocked either on the server or in AT and I wanted to verify what's going on by turning off the core updates checking in AT but couldn't find if that's an option.

Thanks for any help.

Hello Oliver,

No, there is no way to disable the core update check. However, this IP really belongs to JoomlaCode.org. An IP lookup tells us that this IP belongs to jcode001.directrouter.com. I know for sure that this is the dedicated box hosting JoomlaCode.org (directrouter.com is a hostname belonging to Rochen, the company which hosts Joomla!'s servers).

Thanks ... I had done a lookup too but made a wrong assumption. I'll keep digging.

Thank again
