Joomla! version: 2.5.1

Description of my issue:
Just installed AdminToolsPro setting up .htaccess and now have admin with whitescreen and frontend showing above error.

Have tried removing the admintools created .htaccess and having a bank one - also replacing with default .htaccess file and nothing changes - everything dead.

Hello Max,

The errors occur inside Joomla! core classes. This is not related to Admin Tools. Have you by any chance tried to restore your Joomla! 2.5.1 site on top of an earlier Joomla! 1.5, 1.6 or 1.7 installation?

Thanks Nicholas.

No - brand new fresh 2.5.1 install a couple of weeks ago - brand new site build.

Other components are JomSocial, Kunena, AkeebaSubs, Akeeba Backup, Yoo WidgetKit and JCE being the only extensions and the template is a customised version of OneWeb (by Seth Warburton).

This piece of Joomla! code is called before any code of any third party extension (including all of the extensions you mentioned above) is loaded. Namely, you get the error message in line 24 of your site's index.php file, but plugins are loaded at line 30, towards the end of the initialise() call. This is a Joomla! issue, not related to any extension :( Maybe you should try turning off the debug mode of the site (edit the configuration.php file).

hmm . . thanks Nicholas . . . but it didn't help unfortunately.

I did upgrade from adminToolsCore to adminToolsPro - all I did was install the pro-version - not sure if that would have thrown anything awry?

May just go back to an "OLD" backup and rebuild the last days work :(

Sounds like the best solution. Probably one of the unrelated to Admin Tools changes broke something on your site. But, hey, that's what frequent backups are for. Things like that happen to the best of us. I have killed my personal blog site quite a few times, namely each and every time I thought it's OK to try doing some major chunk of work or an extension upgrade directly on the live site, without trying on a local copy first :)
