I try to update the joomla from 1.5.23 to 1.5.25 with admin tool. But, it gives me ajax loading error: forbidden. Not sure how to procedure.

At which point in the process do you get that message? Is that the final step, after the update package has been downloaded and Admin Tools tries to extract it? If so, have you been modifying the .htaccess Maker configuration?
