No, you can not use Admin Tools to upgrade from Joomla! 1.5 to 2.5. This is NOT an upgrade, it's a migration. Please consult the documentation at joomla.org.

I've just successfully used AdminTools to upgrade Joomla from ver 1.5.22 to 1.5.25
How can I now upgrade my Joomla to ver 2.5 ?
Do I need to install another product 'JUpgrade' for example or can AdminTools to perform this ?
Your comments/suggestions would be much appreciated.

So do I have to re-install AdminTools & backup etc. after the migration ?

Yes, indeed. Essentially, you'll be copying your content and most of the structure of your Joomla! 1.5 site to a new Joomla! 2.5 site using jUpgrade or SP Upgrade (I don't know of any other migration script other than these two). Then you'll have to reinstall the majority of third party components, including Akeeba Backup and Admin Tools.
