Description of my issue:

Hi there,

What a great component (and Akeeba Back Pro)!

Is it possible to prevent accidental updates to alpha and beta versions?

I updated by accident, but luckily it was only our test server. I thought I might be told about the update after pressing the button, but it instead installed the alpha release!

I can't remember which component, but one I have has a tick box that you must check before you are notified of alpha and beta updates.

Whilst the one button update is very valuable and hugely welcome, I think it would be better if only stable releases were available via this button.

No problem! It's a very valid concern and that's why I'll implement that feature tomorrow. The truth is that I didn't have any alpha or beta releases for Admin Tools for over a year. I was only adding small features, one at a time. Version 2.2 is a complete rewrite of the component to use a new framework and includes a massive new feature (PHP File Change Scanner). It warranted an alpha, but it never occurred to me that this would cause problems with people using Live Update to receive email notifications or accidentally update to 2.2.a1. Doh! Sometimes the most obvious things are the easiest to miss.
