Joomla! version: 1.7.3
PHP version: PHP 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.18 with Suhosin-Patch 0.9.6.2 (cli) (built: Oct 15 2011 15:36:15)
MySQL version: 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.8 (Ubuntu)
Host: Leased ServerBeach box
Admin Tools version: 2.1.4

Description of my issue:
Greetings. Some while back, I used Admin Tools to upgrade from 1.6.8 to 1.7.0. Following the upgrade, attempts to access the installer result in a 404 error. I have confirmed that /administrator/components/com_installer is intact.

I am still able to use Admin Tools to upgrade the core joomla version, and recently upgraded to 1.7.3. However, I am not able to install/upgrade any components -- including Admin Tools. I am stuck on 2.1.4

Also failing are the remote Akeeba backup calls, which give 500 errors.

I realize a lot of time has passed since the 1.7.0 release, but I thought it might be worth asking here for help. Thanks for the great work -- this is the first issue I had after many successful and easy upgrades.

Please go to the Plugins Manager, find "System - System Restore Points" and disable it. And please do follow our isntallation troubleshooter to solve any installation issues and upgrade to Admin Tools 2.1.11 and Akeeba Backup 3.3.6.
