Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? YES
Have I searched the forum before posting? YES
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? No
Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: 5.3.6
MySQL version: 5.1.54
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Admin Tools version: 2.1.10

Description of my issue:
It's really not a big issue at all. But since the last update to 2.1.10, the admin panel page has a layout issue.
Some part of the page are completely shifted to the bottom right, but with a lot of margin.
You can see the attached screen shot, pay attention to the scroll bar at the bottom and right of the screen.
I checked on OSX 10.6.8 with FF 7.0.1 and Safari 5.1 (6534.50)

Like i said, it's not a big deal at all, but i thought i would still report it.

cheers

how strange, i have not seen that issue myself with with either browser.

p.s. blanking the domain is cool, but you forgot the title ;) cool site. you should probably make use of the administrator dir protect as well ;)

That's a known issue with some browsers (Firefox, most certainly). The latest dev release addresses this issue :)

I think FF5 displayed it just fine, then it broke on FF6, or something like that. Very hard to keep track with FF nowadays, with a new major version every 6 weeks :s

i still use it, but less and less. im sick & tired of its constant resource usage. IMHO the only think FF has going for it is its community of plugins. I'm learning to go without . Chromium isnt without bugs , but my personal preference. Niko?

thanks slaes!
yes i was waiting for my client to give the secret word they want to use. It's on now.

i agree with FF being hard to keep up with. IMHO, it sounds good on paper but annoying as you always chase compatibility info for your extensions. And man does it eat up your memory and resources when you have multiple tabs open!
The only thing for me are the nice shortcut of firebug and the web developer toolbar.

I'm looking at what is similar for safari. But when you've been using the same tool for years, it's always strange and counter productive at first to switch.

Anyway, thanks again. and thank you for this really great extensions. It powerful and so simple which is to me the quintessence of what a extension should be. Oh yeah, and great support too ;)

ps: out of curiosity, is there anyway i can edit my attachment?

slaes
yep, i agree on the counter productive element, switching is always hard. chrome does have some awesome developer tools as well, just take getting used to is all. Chrome is also my 1st choice these days. I've had it FF's resource leakages and crappy hungry scripts.

im not sure about editing your post, (its not a big deal man) there are a million easier ways to find J sites than looking up this post. If you really needed it done, you could always ask Nicholas (the owner), but i would not worry about it if i were you ;)

user46704
yes, i might give Chrome a go.

no, i was not too worry about editing this post particularly, but i realised there was no "edit your post" button.
And frankly, i don't think there is much to hack on my client's site. It's a small site with not too many users yet.
But better be safe than sorry, no? LOL

And if ever you are in this part of the wood, check it out, lots of nice music gigs happening here!

I can edit your post, but I don't see an attachment. Where is it, or did you get it deleted?

The "Edit Post" button was removed from regular users' view a couple of months ago because it was being abused. Many users would post something, I would reply and then, instead of replying back to me, they edited their original post. This means that the forum never sent me an email notification, the thread wasn't marked as unread and these people were complaining about lousy support. The decision to remove the Edit Post button begged for no second thought ;)

LOL, seriously?
poor you!
that's a good one. When you think you've seen or heard it all, there is always something new coming up.

Put in that context, i would have done the same !

Again, no worry about it.

LOL, still laughing about it. Maybe you can make the "Reply" button 500px wide, flashing non stop. With an audio going: "reply...reply...reply".
They might get it then.

Have a good one!

Ah, man, you wouldn't know... This happened when a support request came in without a log an I asked the user to attach the log file in their next post. Guess what? They considered that editing the post was better. Or I told them that they were missing some information in their last post and edited their post with the missing information. Even if it was a post made 5 days ago. Right. I have no better things to do than reading the last week's posts three times every day to spot those changes. Sure thing. How hard is it to read 300 posts three times a day, right?

Oh nicholas, trust me i get my share of craziness where i work (Vietnam) as well. It's on a different subject but on the same level. So i hear you loud and clear.

But like one said: you need every kind of people to make a world.

I used to be a regular computer end user 15 or so years ago. Never study computer science or anything. So i always sympathise when people don't know something. But i always say it's shameful not to learn and not to use common sense.
I found it unbelievable the amount of people that are "computer challenged" in the 21st century. It's borderline unacceptable with all the resources available out there.

And to answer your question: come on! 300 hundred posts 3 times a day is nothing. What are you complaining about? Piece of cake!
LOL (just in case: that was extremely sarcastic).

He he! Craziness is world-wide, I guess :D

I, too, sympathise with those who don't know. But, as you said, while not knowing is excusable, not willing to learn is not. I usually trip when some users make a question which is asked hundreds of times, the solution is documented and when pointed to the documentation they refuse to read it and instead ask me to write the same stuff again. Just for kicks, I copied and pasted the docs to some of them. Their response? "Wow, thank you, that did the trick!". My response? "You're welcome! I just copied and pasted the documentation page you wouldn't read.". Touché ;) And that sums up one of the reasons I stopped doing free support.

Oh well, people are people, for their best and worst parts.
