Description of my issue:

Nicholas, It seems that the 500 error issue may be fixed. The scripting guys at my host said I had an outdated php.ini file so they installed a new one. It seems to be working, at least for the time being.

I now have a different problem, though. When I try to login using xxx.com/administrator, it lets me in just fine. I have "Administrator secret URL parameter" in the WAF set and I have a new .htaccess file. The main.php file in plugins, Admintools has NOT been renamed.

What am I missing?

Ah, just saw this post of yours. Disregard my PM :)

Regarding the secret URL parameter, please check if the following files are renamed:
- plugins/system/admintools.php
- plugins/system/admintools/main.php
- plugins/system/admintools/pro.php
- plugins/system/admintools/core.php
Also, please check that the System - Admin Tools plugin is enabled.

If this doesn't help, just re-download the ZIP installation package of Admin Tools Pro and re-install it on your site, without uninstalling the existing version. This will refresh all the files without touching your settings.

Nicholas, if I have my own ip address listed in the "Never block these IPs" section of the WAF configuration, would is that what is allowing me to access it without the secret password? I'm guessing that it is since I tried to login with my iPhone using 3g rather than my wifi and it bounced me to the front page. Everything else seems to be correct so it does appear that everything is working.

You have the latest dev release, right? When using that one, if your IP is in the "Never block these IPs" list, then no protection is applied against that IP. These IPs are treated as "known friends".
