I've just installed beta 2 - by overwriting the files using Filezilla
It appeared to have worked & showed the main but when I select any option the following error is thrown & the site is then broken
Fatal error: Uncaught RuntimeException: Could not connect to MySQL. in /myhosting/wp-content/plugins/admintoolswp/app/library/database/driver/mysqli.php:144 Stack trace: #0 /myhosting/wp-content/plugins/admintoolswp/app/library/database/driver/mysqli.php(188): Akeeba\AdminTools\Library\Database\Driver\Mysqli->connect() #1 /myhosting/wp-content/plugins/admintoolswp/app/library/database/driver.php(1153): Akeeba\AdminTools\Library\Database\Driver\Mysqli->escape('active_plugins') #2 /myhosting/wp-content/plugins/admintoolswp/app/library/database/driver.php(328): Akeeba\AdminTools\Library\Database\Driver->quote('active_plugins', true) #3 /myhosting/wp-content/plugins/admintoolswp/app/helper/wordpress.php(250): Akeeba\AdminTools\Library\Database\Driver->__call('q', Array) #4 /myhosting/wp-content/plugins/admin in /myhosting/wp-content/plugins/admintoolswp/app/library/database/driver/mysqli.php on line 144
I've done exactly the same on another test site & it works fine.
A DB restore & re-upload of beta 1 gets admin tools working again
