Akeeba Backup 3.0.a4 (Alpha 4) is out. The new version fixes critical operational bugs which may corrupt your database backup. If you have installed 3.0.a3 you must upgrade immediately.

- CRITICAL: some tables would not be backed up in 3.0.a3
- If a system plugin got to load a conflicting jQuery version BEFORE Akeeba Backup's supported scripts, it would cause the GUI to fail. A hack is now in place.
- If the password contained both left & right angle quotes, e.g. pa<sswo>rd, Multiple Database Definitions would fail to connect to the database during testing or save the record properly.
- If the password contained both left & right angle quotes, e.g. pa<sswo>rd, Akeeba Backup Installer would fail to connect to the database
- Database table filters wouldn't work
- Database table filters wouldn't work on PHP installations without the JSON module loaded.
- File and directory filters wouldn't work on PHP installations without the JSON module loaded .
