Akeeba Relase System 1.1.2 just released.
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Akeeba Release System 1.1.2, a bugfix release.
Akeeba Release System 1.1.2 is a maintenance release fixing the issues discovered in the 1.1.1 release. Compatible with Joomla! 1.5, 1.7 and 2.5 with a single package it'll fit into any of your sites, old or new.
As always, Akeeba Release System is available free of charge from our Downloads page. If you have an older version installed, you can simply use the integrated Live Update feature to upgrade to the new version painlessly.
While the software is free, its support is not. If you wish to receive support for the software, you will need to buy a MINISUPPORT subscription at 7.79 Euros for an 8-day pass to our dedicated forum section. Alternatively, if you are a subscriber to AKEEBADELUXE or SUPPORT you can request support either through the dedicated support forum section or by submitting a private support ticket.
Supported versions
Our support policy is to provide support only to the latest published stable release of Akeeba Release System, as well as to the latest published preview (alpha, beta or release candidate) release, if one is available. As of this release, only 1.1.2 is supported. If you have 1.0.x, please upgrade as soon as possible.
Moreover, we only support the Joomla! versions officially supported by the Joomla! project. Due to the plethora of active Joomla! versions, we have consolidated the support terms for different Akeeba Release System and Joomla! version combinations in the table below:
J! 1.5 |
J! 1.6 & 1.7 |
J! 2.5 |
|
ARS 1.1.2 * |
Until August 1st, 2012*** |
Not supported |
Until August 2013 ** |
Older releases |
No longer supported |
* 1.0.x release are not supported. Only the latest 1.1.x release is supported.
** If a new Akeeba Release System series (i.e. 1.2) is released before August 2013, Akeeba Release System 1.1.x will cease being supported, per our support policy stated above.
*** Future versions of our software will drop Joomla! 1.5 support. Users of the latest published version of ARS 1.1.x on Joomla! 1.5 will be supported until August 1st. After that, no support will be given to Joomla! 1.5 users.
Joomla! 1.6 and 1.7 are end-of-life. Moreover, they are known to suffer from very important security vulnerabilities. We regret to inform you that we can not support obsolete, insecure versions of Joomla!.
