Akeeba Release System 1.0.5 just released.
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Akeeba Release System 1.0.5, a bugfix release.
Akeeba Release System 1.0.5 fixes some minor issues discovered in the 1.0.4 stable release and introduces compatibility with Joomla! 2.5, the upcoming long term support release of the Joomla! CMS.
Getting Akeeba Release System and receiving support
The best things in life are free and Akeeba Release System is no exception to that! You can download it from our Downloads page without any charge.
While the component is free, support is not. If you would like to receive support for ARS, you need an AKEEBADELUXE, SUPPORT or our special-priced (7.79€) FORUMACCESS subscription to be able to access the Akeeba Release Section of our support forum. That said, we want to help other developers succeed, giving more awesome powers to Joomla!. So, if you are a developer who wishes to use the component for distributing his Joomla! software, please contact us about the possibility of a reduced fee or free subscription to our support services.
Supported versions
Our support policy is to provide support only to the latest published stable release of Akeeba Release System, as well as to the latest published preview (alpha, beta or release candidate) release, if one is available.
Moreover, we only support the Joomla! versions officially supported by the Joomla! project. Due to the plethora of active Joomla! versions, we have consolidated the support terms for different Akeeba Release System and Joomla! version combinations in the table below:

** If a new Akeeba Release System series (i.e. 2.0) is released before August 2013, Akeeba Release System 1.0.x will cease being supported, per our support policy stated above.
