Akeeba Subscriptions 1.0.rc1 (Release Candidate) is out!
We are happy to announce the immediate availability of Akeeba Subscriptions 1.0.rc1 (Release Candidate). This new release solves all known issues in the beta releases and is considered stable enough for production use. It is compatible with Joomla! 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 (with the same package!).

As you may have already read, we decided to make Akeeba Subscriptions completely free of charge for everyone. Everyone has access to the latest published version and all of its features, without any restrictions whatsoever. While the software is free, its support is not. If you wish to receive support for using Akeeba Subscriptions you need to have an AKEEBADELUXE or SUPPORT subscription and use our Private Ticket support system or our Public Support Forum. Alternatively, you can buy a FORRUMACCESS subscription for 7.79€ to get full access to our Public Support Forum for 8 days and enjoy the same level of support as all of our subscribers.
Known issues
This version of Akeeba Subscriptions is based on Nooku Framework 0.7.a3. This means that it is incompatible with the current versions of NinjaBoard and other Nooku-based software as they are still based on Nooku Framework 0.7.a2 or earlier. We have contacted NinjaBoard's lead developer and he told us that the plan is NinjaBoard 1.2 to be also based on Nooku Framework 0.7.a3, therefore will be compatible with Akeeba Subscriptions.
We would also like to note that Nooku Framework is not compatible with Kunena 1.6 or lower versions. Kunena 2.0 will resolve this incompatibility.
Finally, installing the component on Joomla! 1.6/1.7 will result in a duplicate error message reading "XML installion file not found". Despite that error message the component and all of its plugins and modules are successfully installed properly.
