This section of our documentation will guide you step-by-step
through the restoration process with the Akeeba Backup Restoration
Script (or BRS for short), the restoration script included in the
installation
directory of every backup archive
taken with an Akeeba backup product. When the next step involves a
platform-specific step we will point you to the right page. Please
read this section in the order presented for best results.

This is an optional page and you may not ever see it during your site's restoration. Read below for more information on when it is shown. |
If you have started using BRS using its
command line interface, therefore the
config.yml.php
file is present, trying to
access it over the web will result in the CLI-Only Mode Enabled page
being displayed which prevents using BRS with a web browser.
If you have changed your mind and would like to instead use
BRS through the web browser you need to delete the
installation/config.yml.php
file and visit
installation/index.php
on your browser again.
