Released on: 2010-09-18 19:00 CDT

Changelog

New or improved features

  • Now it's possible for third party application to call the backup view with a return URL (returnurl=)
  • Automatically exclude GuardXT runs table's data (#__guardxt_runs) to avoid backup & restoration failures

Bug fixes

  • Notice thrown when not using the JPS archiver engine during backup initialization (cosmetic bug)
  • ABI: If no error happens during database restoration, IE8 breaks the restoration process
  • ABI: Community Builder's #__comprofiler_fields was being restored with a broken DEFAULT value for the 'table' field
  • Unreadable files' headers could be included in the archive, causing extraction issues
  • Wouldn't let you modify the password for JPS format archives in the Backup Now page
  • Archive statistics were not written in the End-Of-Archive record of JPS archives
  • The JPS version was not written in the JPS archive's header
  • Some servers would not decode the path, making file & directory exclusion beyond the root ineffective
  • Akeeba Backup wouldn't work on PHP 5.2.4 and 5.2.5 because of the huge bugs in these versions' JSON implementation. Worked around.
  • Akeeba Backup would back up a directory named installation on yoru site's root, disabling effective restoration of sites running on Joomla! 1.6 betas
  • When updates can not be downloaded, a misleading error that you need to enter AkeebaBackup.com username & password would appear
