What's new?

Support for files and archives over 2GiB (JPA file format 1.3). We now support single files and single part backup archives larger than 2GiB as long as you are using a 64-bit version of PHP — the default for the majority of PHP builds out there.

Disabled deprecated API methods. Some JSON API methods had been deprecated since December 2019. They have now been removed from our software.

Improve the Schedule Automatic Backups page. The page now explains how you can use Akeeba Remote CLI and has handy buttons to enable the JSON API and front-end backup features if they are not already enabled. No need to dig through pages of options anymore.

Bug fixes and minor improvements. Please take a look at the CHANGELOG below.
