Akeeba Solo (Standalone) 7.7.0 Stable

Released on: 2022-08-22 04:24 CDT

What's new?

Upload to Swift: Support for Keystone v3. Uploading to OpenStack Swift now supports using servers with the Keystone v3 authentication service everywhere, not just for OVH.

New endpoint for the Akeeba Backup JSON API using WordPress' wp-admin/admin-ajax.php file. This is an optional change. Going through the wp-admin/admin-ajax.php file allows Akeeba Backup to run inside a WordPress instance when accessing its JSON API interface. This is necessary on some WordPress hosts which do not allow scripts outside of WordPress to access the database.

New legacy frontend backup URL using WordPress' wp-admin/admin-ajax.php file. Similar to the above but for the front–end backup feature.

New system configuration option “Place under Tools” to change where the Akeeba Backup menu item appears. Normally, Akeeba Backup for WordPress has a top level menu item in the administrator sidebar. When you enable this option the plugin's link is moved under the Tools menu item. You only need to enable this option if you want to make it harder to find Akeeba Backup, e.g. if you have clients who are a bit too curious…
