Akeeba Ticket System 2.4.1 Stable

Released on: 2017-11-28 04:44 CST

What's new?

Guest tickets. Added on popular demand! This feature allows unregistered (not logged in) users to file tickets. A user account is created for them and they have to log in using it to read and file replies while maintaining privacy. Please read the documentation - this is a bit more complicated than it looks at first blush.

Bug fixes and minor improvements. Some relatively benign issues were addressed in this release.

PHP 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0 or 7.1 is required

This version requires PHP 5.4.0 or later including 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0 and 7.1. PHP 5.3 is no longer supported. We strongly advise you to use PHP 5.6 or 7.1. Support for older versions of PHP will be dropped in the next few months. Support for PHP 5.x will be dropped in mid- to late-2018, after Joomla! 4 (with a minimum requirement for PHP 7.0) will have been released.

Joomla! 3.6 through 3.8 is supported

It is not compatible with end-of-life Joomla! 1.x, 2.5, or 3.0 to 3.5 releases (inclusive). If you are using an old Joomla! version please upgrade to the latest Joomla! 3 version available from Joomla.org.

Note on upcoming versions of Joomla! and PHP

This version is NOT compatible with Joomla! 4. We are working on addressing the compatibility issues with this upcoming version of Joomla!. Expect a release compatible with it around Summer 2018, shortly before Joomla! 4 is released.

At the time of this writing PHP 7.2 has just gone stable. We have tested our software with the Alpha, Beta and Release Candidate versions of PHP 7.2. While we found no compatibility issues we recommend caution before using PHP 7.2 on a production server. Our software and Joomla! (for the most part) work fine on PHP 7.2 but other third party software may not. Please test your site on a development server before switching your production server to PHP 7.2.
